After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the declaration of independence the old Communist Party got divided in to one reformist party and one that still believe in a soviet based system of government. But in the west parts of Tenevyye the old party largely formed together to create a Republican Communist Party that fights for a free and independent West-Tenevyye.
